The ranking is based on a detailed analysis of Oxford and Cambridge admission data from 2019 to 2023. First, the book collected data for each school, including the number of applicants submitted to Oxford and Cambridge, the number of students receiving offers, and the number who ultimately accepted offers and enrolled. To ensure reliability and consistency, the author set a screening condition: if a school received fewer than three Oxford or Cambridge offers in a given year, that year's relevant data was ignored to avoid statistical bias from an overly small sample. After screening, the book aggregated each school's applications, offers, and enrolments over the five years as the basis for its overall data. Six indicators were calculated to evaluate each school's performance: the percentile of applications against all schools' total applications, the percentile of offers against total offers, the percentile of enrolments against total enrolments, the ratio of offers to applications, the ratio of enrolments to applications, and the ratio of enrolments to offers. For the final ranking, the six indicators were averaged with equal weighting to produce a composite score, then standardized: the highest-scoring school was set as the benchmark with a score of 100, and all other schools' scores were adjusted according to their relative performance.

According to the ranking, Hong Kong's St. Paul's Co-educational College tops the table with a perfect score of 100 and an offer rate of 95%, demonstrating the school's academic strength and its students' strong regard for Oxbridge. Singapore's Hwa Chong Institution ranks second with 98.93 points, and Raffles Junior College ranks third with 96.59 points. Singapore has 21 schools in the top 100, Shanghai has 17, and Hong Kong has 16, further highlighting these cities' leading position in Asian education. Mainland Chinese schools also performed strongly, particularly Shenzhen College of International Education (fourth) and Ulink College of Shanghai (ninth). Another interesting point: no Japanese or Australian schools appear in the ranking, while Korean and Taiwanese schools are relatively few. Japan and Australia's education systems typically place greater emphasis on domestic higher education; in Taiwan and Korea, many students choose to study in the United States, dispersing some of the demand for Oxbridge applications.
